Opening Opportunities in Angola's Deepwater

 The Angola Ultra Profundo MC2D survey was designed to revitalize exploration across the ultra-deepwater Lower Congo, Kwanza, and Namibe basins offshore Angola. Acquired by Ramform Victory, the program represented the first multi-client 2D seismic campaign in Angola’s ultra-deepwater margin since 2015 and targeted a highly underexplored frontier region.

The survey combined Gemini Enhanced Frequency Sources (EFS), a 12 km GeoStreamer configuration, and near-real-time satellite data transfer to deliver high-quality seismic imaging over complex pre-salt, subsalt, and deepwater clastic systems. Ultra-fast data transmission and processing allowed the project team to dynamically change line locations, to ensure further data were acquired over any prospective geological features identified.
