New R360™ Depth Penetration Search

Identify well bores penetrating TGS interpreted subsurface depth grids. Now available in R360's advanced search. 

Below is a detailed step-by-step walk through of each workflow for the new search functionality to ensure a common understanding. For more information, please contact R360CustomerSupport@TGS.com

 

Applying Depth Penetration to Polygon Search 

1.) Open R360 and click the Polygon Search icon located on the right side of the screen. Draw polygon around AOI on map interface. 

 

2.) Click the advanced search icon to further define the map search criteria. Advanced Search window will open. Click on the map tab. Note: User must draw a polygon before going to map tab in advanced search window.

 

3.) Enter all required search criteria and check box next to Depth Penetration. Depth Penetration Layers will populate in magenta on the map. Formation drop down window will populate after selecting Depth Penetration option. User will select desired formation by clicking on formation name. Only 1 formation can be selected at a time. Note: Only formations that are in the selected area will be listed in the drop-menu.

 4.) Click the Map search() button located at the bottom of the screen to execute search. 

 

 

Applying Depth Penetration to Advanced Search Using Country or LAT/Long Tab

1.) Open R360 and click on Advanced Search icon () located on the right side of the screen to initiate product search. User selects Country of Lat/Long Tab. For the purpose of this demonstration, we will use the Country tab. 

 

2.) Enter all required search criteria and check box next to Depth Penetration. Depth Penetration Layers will populate in magenta on the map. Formation drop down window will populate after selecting Depth Penetration option. User will select desired formation by clicking on formation name. Note: Only formations that are in the selected area will be listed in the drop-menu.

 3.) Click the Country search() button located at the bottom of the screen to execute search. 

 

 Search Results Information

The search results Excel export will identify the profile used for depth penetration calculation. If a well is not vertical and a directional survey is not used in the calculation, the well will be treated as vertical and may not penetrate the selected formation.
