De-Risk Investment Opportunities with Suriname 3D

To unlock the exploration potential of Suriname shallow water acreage, a consortium consisting of TGS, CGG and BGP commenced Phase 1 of the Suriname multi-client 3D program in November 2022, with the acquisition of 11,100 km² 3D completing in Q2 2022. The Suriname Phase 1 3D survey includes 3,000 km² of legacy 3D full PSDM reprocessing. In addition, selected legacy 2D lines will be fully reprocessed to provide ties to known wells in deeper and shallower waters.

The seismic data from the consortium’s multi-client program will be instrumental in delineating the prospectivity and potential of this underexplored area and the potential reservoirs within the upper and lower Cretaceous, including classic shelf slope features of alternating clastics and carbonates, and potential deeper targets in the Jurassic grabens

Early out PSDM products will be available during Q2 and Q3 of 2022, with final PSDM products becoming available in Q4 2022 and Q2 2023,

and will provide first-time insights into the petroleum potential of the shallow waters of Suriname.

The data release will also coincide with Staatsolie’s next shallow water licensing round expected in H2 2023,

offering valuable information to evaluate offshore acreage.

This multi-client data is being processed using a state-of-the-art imaging workflow,

including CGG’s proprietary Time-Lag FWI and high frequency FWI imaging,

which will produce a drill-ready 3D seismic dataset to de-risk exploration.
