Image-Guided Tomography

In this webinar, Yang He, Geophysics Adviser at TGS, will present High-Resolution Image-Guided Tomography and Its Applications.

Image-guided tomography is an approach which yields high-resolution velocity updates that are more geologically plausible near faults and layering. Image-guided tomography calculates tensors which describe directionality and continuity of structures from the images and uses them as a preconditioning operator within the inversion process. In turn, it constrains the updates to automatically respect geological structures.
