UPDATE: 1st June 2021
The LPRA has released an announcement declaring their intention to enter direct negotiation on all blocks over the Harper and Liberia basins within the offshore Liberia acreage. For more information see our dedicated web page:
The Harper Basin License Round History
Companies interested in participating in the license round were required to complete and transmit a letter of expression of interest, fill out the pre-qualification form and an ultimate beneficial ownership form as indicated in Annex 6 of the Tender Protocol for pre-qualification. See the link below to 'Get the Full Story' and download the Tender Protocol, Model PSC and Pre-qualification Form. You can also request relevant material and more via the form on the right-hand side.
Nine blocks were offered in the Harper Basin, one of the last unexplored and undrilled regions offshore West Africa: LB-25, LB-26, LB-27, LB-28, LB-29, LB-30, LB-31, LB-32, LB-33. The new block demarcation followed an update to the petroleum bill in 2019, with a maximum block size of 3,500 square kilometers, and alignment with the ECOWAS grid.
TGS holds a range of multi-client data across the tendered acreage to support the blocks on offer both in the Harper Basin and the Liberia Basin, view the TGS data library.
